Wild Barrel Brewing Company was first conceived by two friends Bill Sysak and Chris White in 2016 one evening while enjoying a cigar and great craft beers. Bill Sobieski, an award-winning homebrewer of 25 years and long-time friend of Bill Sysak, was brought onboard to brew the beer, and the three friends and founders began the process of opening a brewery in San Diego, the craft beer capitol of America.
On September 30th, 2017, Wild Barrel Brewing opened to the general public. Located in North San Diego county in the city of San Marcos, Wild Barrel has a 15-barrel brewhouse with a large spacious tasting room and well-trained friendly staff serving exceptional craft beer in a variety of styles. With the addition of Preston Weesner to run the barrel program Wild Barrel looks forward to adding amazing barrel aged beers to the lineup.
Wild Barrel is known for its “Vice” series of fruited kettle sours, a constantly rotating selection of “West Coast” & “Hazy Juicy” IPA’s, and big Pastry Stouts.
Wild Barrel’s focus on the customer experience and creating high quality beers using only the best ingredients has established them as one of the most exciting new breweries in the country. Open only three months, Wild Barrel was voted one of the Top 3 New Breweries in San Diego county for 2017. In 2018 Beer Advocate magazine included Wild Barrel as one of the Top 50 Breweries to watch in North America.
